MAY THE SKILL BE WITH YOU – How to accelerate skill acquisition in Self-Defense.Itsepuolustaitojen oppimisen kerrotaan vievän pitkän ajan ja ainoastaan tuhansien toistojen jälkeen saavutetaan riittävä taito. May the skill be with you – kirja esittelee uuden tavan ajatella ja toteuttaa itsepuolustusharjoittelua siten, että taidon oppimiseen ei todellakaan mene vuosia. Ohessa on tarkempi englanninkielinen esittely.Self-Defense is a life-hack that everyone must know. The general understanding is that one will have to train for years to be able to defend themselves in a real life situation. True and not, since just like years playing with a car simulator, doesn’t guarantee that we’ll be able to handle changing conditions in the traffic, nor does the formative, repetitive training of single techniques, or series of techniques, of self-defense. Movement is technique and every technique requires movement. To learn to optimize the movements needed in self-defense situations, requires a new kind of approach to the training. In this book, you will discover training methods that accelerate the pace of skill acquisition and learning tremendously. The key is to understand how to use ecological dynamics and especially the constraints-led approach as a skill accelerator, how you can vary your training so that the skill acquisition is constant and your ability to respond to the changing situations increases rapidly.
